Established in September 2007, CCA Elementary School of Roche Blanche, Haiti (?cole Alliance Communautaire Chrétienne, EACC), provides to its students the opportunity to build a concrete foundation in all relevant academic areas. EACC seeks to offer a small student to-faculty ratio which gives students the individual care and attention they need to succeed.
Our students have direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events, and ideas. It is our intention to give our preschoolers a sense of control over the events of the day by planning a consistent daily routine that enables them to anticipate what will happen next. Our approach is based on the belief that young children build or construct their knowledge of the world as active learners. EACC of Roche Blanche uses language, literacy and sports as tools to promote social, emotional, and physical development. Moreover, students learn math, science, history, biblical teaching and develop their creativity through art, such as poetry, drawing, music, singing, dancing, acting, plays, etc.
CCA Elementary School of Roche Blanche aims at developing self-esteem, talents and skills of each student. We desire that parents and students to come to the understanding that education is power. In turn, parents and pupils will be able to take a more active and responsible role in their future. Students are taught and encouraged to make responsible choices in school, at home, and in the community.
EACC presently enrolls one hundred and eighty six students and a total of faculty and staff of twenty employees. On a daily basis a hot lunch is served without cost to the children parents. Our outstanding faculty is committed to the spiritual, academic, physical and psychological development of our pupils. The General Director and founder of the Institution, Rev. Georges Défay, is currently assisted by Rev. Yvon E. Tironné as academic Director, by Pastor Charles Mézalés, as administrative Director, and by a Funds Raising Committee headed by Nicole André as Chairperson and Dieula Taillefer as Treasurer.
