In 1985, as led by God, he founded Christian Community Alliance (CCA), a missionary and community church in Brooklyn New York, which was incorporated the same year. In 1987 God gave him a vision for Haiti and in July 1999 led him to start building a Christian Center in that country, which will include a church, an elementary and secondary school, a medical facility, an orphanage, a retreat center, and a vocational school. In December 2001, he created CCA Outreach Center, a faith base organization to serve the N.Y. community by offering educational and training programs to the adult and youth population.

Ordained in 1985 and author of several books, with his non-denominational and non-sectarian approach, Pastor Défay’s teaching ministry extends to all in the body of Christ and to the world. A graduate of the City University of New York, (B.S. in Pre-Med and Biology, minor in Psychology), Rév. Défay also attended Medical School (Faculté de Médecine) in Port-au-Prince Haïti, Queens College Graduate School and Teachers College at Columbia University Graduate School (Master Degree Program in Organizational Psychology).

Before entering full time ministry in 1989, Pastor Défay spent seventeen years working in the private sector, in the Banking Industry at Wall Street, and served many years as a manager with Irving Trust Co., a private corporate bank serving the international community. Currently Pastor Georges Défay serves on the Board of American Haitian Federation a philanthropic organization based in Boston, Mass., dedicated to the development of the Southeastern part of the Republic of Haiti. He and his wife Michèle have three sons working in the ministry and are currently assisted by four pastors and an Advisory Board of six persons.
